Nelly & Arthur’s Big Day Out is a fictional series of books following the adventures of Nelly & Arthur who are brother & sister. Their big day out is always somewhere different, follow them on their journeys to see who they bump in to along their way.
The books are written by Greg Shepherd and illustrated by Adele Bye.
Greg Shepherd was born in South West London in the winter of 1985.
He is best known for starring in the hit reality tv series, “The Mummy Diaries”, alongside his wife, Billie Shepherd (Formerly Billie Faiers) and their two children, Nelly & Arthur.
Greg had the idea to write a series of children books when he became tired of reading his children the same stories over and over again, as they would never interact and would often become un-entertained and restless.
Haven House Children’s Hospice cares for seriously ill babies and children by creating a loving and warm environment for them and their families while they go through the toughest of times.
No family should have to face alone the difficulties of looking after a child with a serious illness. The hospice's specialist care team are there to provide support to parents and carers who have children with complex medical needs. Many of these children need 24-hour care and supervision. Haven House provides round the clock care at the hospice, surrounded in beautiful grounds and woodland, in Woodford Green, Essex, and through outreach services in the home and the local community. Services include; daycare, over-night stays, end of life care, bereavement support, as well as life-enriching activities such as sensory play, music therapy and physiotherapy. Haven House is there from the time a devastating diagnosis is made to help families have a choice, quality of life and to make the most of the precious time they have together.
